The Deaconesses come from a long line of historical servants for Jesus. The department was established literally thousands of years ago and continues to this day because it is so important. Why? Because, like the Ushers, the Deaconesses serve God by serving His people.
All of the Deaconesses at South Brooklyn recognize their legacy and identify fully with their role and responsibilities. It is our pleasure and duty to serve God, the South Brooklyn church family, and those in need.
You will see us in church attending to special matters, participating in Holy Communion, and other tasks. You may even see us at your loved ones’ bedside in the hospital, or comforting a grieving family member. We are committed to assisting in that capacity, so keep the South Brooklyn Deaconesses in mind when and if you experience circumstances that require the support that we offer.
