On Wednesday nights, we host the popular “Wednesday Night Prayer Meeting”. This mid-week break from the hustle-and-bustle is a great way to recompose yourself and focus on God. The pace is relaxed and the attendees are welcoming.
Prayer is more than just asking God to give you something. It’s communication with God. We ask God for necessities and we also thank God for providing the things that He has blessed us with. We ask God to bless our country and our children. We thank God for peace and safety. We ask God to forgive us and take care of us. We thank God for life and liberty.
Your needs may be unique and you may want someone to pray for you. Or with you. We encourage you to participate in “Wednesday Night Prayer Meeting”. We firmly believe the Bible when it says “Is any one of you in trouble? He should pray. Is anyone happy? Let him sing songs of praise. Is any one of you sick? He should call the elders of the church to pray over him and anoint him with oil in the name of the Lord. And the prayer offered in faith will make the sick person well; the Lord will raise him up. If he has sinned, he will be forgiven.”
You’ll find that many individuals don’t believe in God anymore, or they trust in themselves to supply their needs. Not us. We take a different approach at South Brooklyn: we believe in God wholeheartedly and make it a point to join with other like-minded individuals to pray.
We meet every Wednesday night at 7:30PM in the sanctuary. We look forward to seeing you there. Take a look at the slideshow below to see what we’ve been up to.
